Long Will Not Sign With UW

Lakes High School has been a fertile recruiting ground for Washington, with the two most productive receivers in Husky history having first been Lakes Lancers. Sammie Long, a 6-foot-4 receiver from Lakes was expected to follow the sizable footsteps of Reggie Williams and Jermaine Kearse, but after accepting a verbal offer from UW in March he's heard very little from his future college.

"All fall we haven't heard a word from them, so Sammie is moving to a place where he's focusing on the schools that are recruiting him and want him," said Lakes Head Coach Dave Miller, announcing that Long would not be taking an official visit to Washington.
