The 2004 AND 1 High School Basketball Championship, featuring 16 high school teams from Washington, Oregon and British Columbia, will be played this weekend at Seattle University, with the opening round starting Friday June 11. Play continues through Saturday June 12 with the championship game tipping off at 3:00 p.m. and Sunday June 13.

This tournament will have eight regional tournaments around the United States. The winner of each regional tournament will receive a trip to Philadelphia to compete to become the 2004 AND 1 High School National Champion. Rainier Beach represented the region in 2003 with Mount Tahoma getting the trip to Philly in 2002.

Friday’s opening round schedule:

Game #1, 4pm, court-1, Rainier Beach vs. Mount Si

Game #2, 4pm, court-2, Lynnwood vs. Redmond

Game #3, 5:15pm, court-1, Shorewood vs. Mariner

Game#4, 5:15pm, court-2, Lindberg vs. Federal Way

Game#5, 6:30pm, court-1, Meadowdale vs. Renton

Game#6, 6:30pm, court-2, Mercer Island vs. Capital/Arch Bishop

Game# 7, 7:45pm, court-1, Jefferson (Portland) vs. Church Hill (BC)

Game#8 7:45pm court-2, Mountlake Terrace vs. Shadle Park

Quarterfinal games are at 10:00 a.m. and 12:30 p.m. Saturday with the semifinals being played later that afternoon at 3:00 and 5:30 p.m. Consolation bracket games will also be played Saturday and Sunday.
