So you want to see some good hoops? Here’s a short primer on some games you might want to take in during the 2004-2005 regular season. They include games involving standout players as well as games that should just be good games to watch period. | |||

It starts early on Tuesday, November 30, 2004 with Seattle Prep at Rainier Beach at 7:30 PM. Nothing like starting the season with a slew of future D-1 players in a rematch of the 2004 Class 3A state final. And the rest of the games you might want to check out include: Tuesday, December 7, 2004 Kent-Meridian at Kentwood 7:30 D-1 signee Steffan Johnson takes on defending 4A state champs. Tuesday, December 7, 2004 Snohomish at Mount Vernon 7:30. UW signee Jon Brockman leads his Panthers into the Dog House. Best venue in the state for a game and this has become a huge rivalry. Tuesday, December 14, 2004 Seattle Prep at O'Dea, 7:30 PM. Tons of D-1 talent on display. Martell Webster leads Prep against Mitch Johnson and the Irish. Tuesday, December 14, 2004 Federal Way at Bethel, 7:30 PM. Battle of two of the SPSL South’s top teams. Friday, December 17, 2004 Meadowdale at Mountlake Terrace 7:30. Jake Linton and crew invade Terrace and their long list of talented returnees. Both have been to state the last two years. Tuesday January 11, 2005 Juanita at Lake Washington 7:30. Micah Downs heads into LW for a big shootout with Ryan Staudacher. Saturday, January 15, 2005 Lynden Christian at Seattle Christian. Two very good small school squads. If you love fundamental basketball, this will be a clinic. Monday, January 17, 2005 Rainier Beach at O'Dea, 7:30 PM. Nuff said. Ya better get there early. Friday, January 21, 2005 Mark Morris at R. A. Long, 7:30 PM. State’s biggest rivalry game in a great venue. It doesn’t get more intense than this game in this gym. The Lumberdome will rock once more. Friday, January 21, 2005 Chimacum at Seattle Christian, 7:30 PM. Chimmie’s Steven Gray had a pair of 50-point games last year as a frosh. Check out this rising big time scorer. Tuesday, January 25, 2005 O'Dea at Seattle Prep, 7:30 PM. Just in case you missed the first one, here’s another chance. Tuesday, January 25, 2005 Bethel at Federal Way, 7:30 PM. Second verse, same as the first. Tuesday January 25, 2005 Mariner at Shorewood 7:30. 6-8 Tommy Craddock leads Mariners into 6-7 Rob Diederich’s house. Friday, February 4, 2005 Davis at Eisenhower 8:00. Shaq William’s bring his team to Pat Fitterer’s gym in a battle for Yakima bragging rights. Friday, February 4, 2005 Franklin at Roosevelt 8:00. Quakers head up town to take on Marcus Williams and crew. |
