So you want to see some good hoops? Here’s a short primer on some games you might want to take in during the 2004-2005 regular season. They include games involving standout players as well as games that should just be good games to watch period.

It starts early on Tuesday, November 30, 2004 with Seattle Prep at Rainier Beach at 7:30 PM. Nothing like starting the season with a slew of future D-1 players in a rematch of the 2004 Class 3A state final.

And the rest of the games you might want to check out include:

Tuesday, December 7, 2004 Kent-Meridian at Kentwood 7:30 D-1 signee Steffan Johnson takes on defending 4A state champs.

Tuesday, December 7, 2004 Snohomish at Mount Vernon 7:30. UW signee Jon Brockman leads his Panthers into the Dog House. Best venue in the state for a game and this has become a huge rivalry.

Tuesday, December 14, 2004 Seattle Prep at O'Dea, 7:30 PM. Tons of D-1 talent on display. Martell Webster leads Prep against Mitch Johnson and the Irish.

Tuesday, December 14, 2004 Federal Way at Bethel, 7:30 PM. Battle of two of the SPSL South’s top teams.

Friday, December 17, 2004 Meadowdale at Mountlake Terrace 7:30. Jake Linton and crew invade Terrace and their long list of talented returnees. Both have been to state the last two years.

Tuesday January 11, 2005 Juanita at Lake Washington 7:30. Micah Downs heads into LW for a big shootout with Ryan Staudacher.

Saturday, January 15, 2005 Lynden Christian at Seattle Christian. Two very good small school squads. If you love fundamental basketball, this will be a clinic.

Monday, January 17, 2005 Rainier Beach at O'Dea, 7:30 PM. Nuff said. Ya better get there early.

Friday, January 21, 2005 Mark Morris at R. A. Long, 7:30 PM. State’s biggest rivalry game in a great venue. It doesn’t get more intense than this game in this gym. The Lumberdome will rock once more.

Friday, January 21, 2005 Chimacum at Seattle Christian, 7:30 PM. Chimmie’s Steven Gray had a pair of 50-point games last year as a frosh. Check out this rising big time scorer.

Tuesday, January 25, 2005 O'Dea at Seattle Prep, 7:30 PM. Just in case you missed the first one, here’s another chance.

Tuesday, January 25, 2005 Bethel at Federal Way, 7:30 PM. Second verse, same as the first.

Tuesday January 25, 2005 Mariner at Shorewood 7:30. 6-8 Tommy Craddock leads Mariners into 6-7 Rob Diederich’s house.

Friday, February 4, 2005 Davis at Eisenhower 8:00. Shaq William’s bring his team to Pat Fitterer’s gym in a battle for Yakima bragging rights.

Friday, February 4, 2005 Franklin at Roosevelt 8:00. Quakers head up town to take on Marcus Williams and crew.
