True Players last eliminated at Super-64

True Players Elite was the final Washington team eliminated at the adidas Super Sixty-Four tournament in Las Vegas Monday as the hoopin’ continued all over town. Playing in the “Open Division,” the Players ran off a trio of wins in bracket play before finally being sent packing.

Franklin Pierce senior-to-be guard Emmanuel Jenkins scored 20 and 23 in the Players first two games Monday and continued to play well in the event. But once they reached the semifinals of the Open Division it was curtains as they fell prey to the Bay Area Hoosiers.

But the Players got their money's worth, being one of the few teams in Sin City to play seven games. Half the teams in town, and there are well over 800 squads in the three events combined, only got to play four.
