Here is a list of the top games in the state of Washington this weekend. Should be a game in you area for almost anyone in the state…
Thursday Night
Lakes vs. Penninsula, 7pm, Penninsula
Matchup of two of the better teams in the SPSL 3A. Lakes has plenty of talent on both sides of the ball and a couple future D1 players to watch. Penninsula took Sumner to the woodshed last week and could be looking to make a statement this week.

Friday Night
Kentwood vs. Auburn, 7pm, Auburn
Both teams had huge wins last weekend. Auburn knocked off Federal Way and Kentwood topped Kennedy. The winner of this game could be the new favorite in the SPSL North. The team that runs the ball better will win this game as both like to keep the rock on the ground.

Bothell vs. Bellevue, 7pm, Bellevue
Traditional powerhouse programs face off in a 3A/4A matchup. Bothell is reeling form an unexpected loss to Issaquah last weekend. Bellvue took care of business in Oregon. A loss for Bothell would send an early 4A favorite to an 0-2 start heading into tough KingCo play.

Mead vs. Lewis and Clark, 8pm, Albi
Game of the week again resides in Spokane. Last years state champ faces off against a good Mead team. Mead picked up a sloppy win over Mt. Spokane last weekend. If they can cut down on the mistakes they should be able to give LC a good game.

Ferris vs. Gonzaga Prep, 7pm, GPrep
In my opinion Ferris and LC are the two best teams on the eastside. Right behind them is Gprep. While I have Ferris favored in this game I wouldn’t really call it an upset if they fall to Gprep.

These are just a few of the many great games in the state this weekend. I’ll be at the Auburn/Kentwood game on Friday and the Kentridge/TJ game on Saturday… Feel free to post updates if you attend any games and see anything of notice…
