Friday Night Spotlight

Here is a list of the top games in the state of Washington this weekend. Should be a game in you area for almost anyone in the state…

The final week of the season for most teams in the state. Many teams are one win from the playoffs and one loss away from ending their season. Most of the games of the week carry large playoff implications…

Thursday Night
#1 Skyline vs. #7 Bothell , 5pm, Skyline
A serious question heading into playoffs is can anyone stop Skyline? This game should test Skyline, but Issaquah was supposed to do that as well. Will Skyline continue to show they are on a different talent level then everyone else, or will Bothell finally give them a game?

Friday Night
#10 Issaquah vs. Woodinville, 7pm, Issaquah
7-0 Bellevue and 6-1 Liberty face off Friday night. Both teams are undefeated in league and an upset by Liberty would put them in the driver seat for the KingCo 3A division. I think Bellevue will roll here but Liberty has the talent to pull and upset.

Kentwood vs. Kentlake , 7pm, French Field
This game will decide who joins Auburn and Tahoma as playoff teams from the SPSL North. Federal Way should make easy work of Jefferson to secure a spot as well. This is a rivalry game and a win or out situation for both. Sounds like a recipe for a great football game.

Snohomish vs. Lake Stevens, 7pm, Snohomish
Winner locks up the #2 spot in the Wesco North behind MP. Snohomish has two losses and currently sits in third, but this is a home game and you never know what can happen. If Snohomish wins then the playoff spots go to Mp, Snohomish, and Lake Stevens. If they lode a mariad of teams could get the third spot.

KingCo Elimination Games
Eastlake vs Roosevelt, 7pm Eastlake
Inglemoor vs. Newport, 7pm Inglemoor
These games will decide which teams make the playoffs and which go home. There should be a real playoff atmosphere for both games.

Gonzaga Prep vs. LC, 8pm, Albi
The winner of this game leaves themselves with a chance to jump Ferris or CV. LC would love to see Ferris get upset and pass them by virtue of beating them last week. Playoff implications excluded, this should be a great game to watch.

Have a fun weekend of football…
