State’s Top Player to Miss Season

Garfield’s Tony Wroten came into the season as possibly the top player in the state. Now with this decision by the Seattle School district it appears he won’t be playing at all...

The article below from the Seattle Times explains that the Seattle School district has decided he does not live in Seattle. Instead, they are claiming he lives in Renton with his father and will not be allowed to play. They terminated his enrollment at Garfield High School yesterday. Even if Tony finds another school to attend it is unlikely that he will play this season.
