Here is a list of the top games in the state of Washington this weekend. Should be a game in your area for almost anyone in the state…

There are a lot of games on the list this week. With playoffs quickly approaching many teams are in do or die situations. Others are contending for league titles and seeding…

Friday Night
#3 Bellevue @ #9 Liberty , 7pm, Liberty
Is this the season someone can finally top Bellevue in the KingCo 3A? We will find out tomorrow night. This is the best team Bellevue will have had to play in conference in years. Liberty has a vaunted passing attack that will clash against the running attack Bellevue is known for, I expect a high scoring game.

Kentridge @ Kentwood, 7pm, French Field
Second place in the SPSL North is on the line. If Kentridge can win it will assure them the second seed in the division. If Kentwood wins it will tie the two teams along with Federal Way, because all three teams have gone 1-1 versus each other. The seeding would be decided by a point based tie-breaker after the season.

Gonzaga Prep @ #10 Central Valley , 7pm, CV
Central Valley can be the only team in the GSL with a guaranteed playoff spot if they win. G-Prep is one of four teams tied at 4-2 in the GSL. They need to win both weeks if they want to make the playoffs.

Mead @ University, 7pm, University
Mead and University are two more of the 4-2 teams in GSL play. They are also clawing and scratching to make it into the postseason. The GSL has quickly become the most intriguing league to watch in the state.

Mountlake Terrace @ #7 Jackson, 8pm, Jackson
Jackson has looked like the dominant team in the league all season. They need to beat to beat Mountlake to avoid falling into a tie for first place. Cascade has two one loss teams left on their schedule and will need a strong finish to wrap up the league title.

Feel free to let me know how the games you attend go on our message boards. Have a fun weekend of football…
