Lindbergh @ Liberty, 11/20 7pm, Liberty
I think that this may be the most even matchup in the state this weekend. Both teams have athletes that can change the game on one play. Liberty is getting healthy again at the running back position and that is big. They will need to contain Lindbergh’s star playmaker Diondre Toms if they want to pull out the victory. On the other side of the ball Trey Wheeler and Jake Bainton will try and find openings in the Lindbergh defense. I think Liberty pulls it out in the end.

Lakes @ Mt. Spokane, 11/21 1pm, Joe Albi
This is a really tough one to call. I have a ton of respect for Mt. Spokane for winning the 3A/4A GSL. I also think they have been widely overlooked this season. On the other hand, Lakes may be the most talented team in the state regardless of division. I think the winner of this game is in the Tacoma Dome for the final... the Lancers have more weapons.

Bellevue @ Glacier Peak, 11/21 7pm, Veterans Memorial Stadium (Snohomish)
I am going to stick with the trend of picking away teams in this game. No offense to Glacier Peak but it is pretty hard to pick against Bellevue’s track record in the playoffs. I think that they show why they are the defending state champs and win big on the road.

Meadowdale @ Union, 11/21 5pm, McKenzie Stadium (Vancouver)
Meadowdale has the tough task of traveling down to Vancouver to play. I think that they put up a good fight but don’t have enough to match Union. Union is an experienced and tough team that battled to the state title game last year only to lose to Bellevue. I think they want a rematch and get one with the Wolverines in the semis.
Union 21, Meadowdale 17
