ESP Interview: Nik Landdeck

Nik Landdeck

ESP talks to Issaquah's senior defensive standout...

How did you feel wrapping the season up?
It was a tough loss against Bothell, really hard fought game. But they had some pretty good weapons last year.

How would you rate your game personally this season?
The game seemed a lot slower. Almost like I could see plays in slow motion, I think that just came with starting for three years and all the experience you gain. I was a lot bigger and stronger this year. The coaches do a great job of running the defense around me, keep me pretty free to make plays.

Do you play any other sports or just training for football?
I play basketball, our season just ended so back to camps and lifting.

What camps and/or combines are you planning on attending?
I will be at the Nike camp on June 6th in Corvallis. Also the Rising Stars camp at UW. Then the WSU camp with my team in June. I'm not sure about combines yet.

What schools have you been hearing from?
Letters from UW, OSU, and WSU. I am headed to WSU next Saturday for junior day. I have been in contact with Coach Mills from UW.

Is there one school you would like to hear from?
I have always been a big UW fan, so that would be great. I like what they have done this last year.

What do you think you need to work on as a player heading into your senior season?
Speed and strength to help me get off lineman blocks.

What expectations do you have as a team for this season?
We have pretty high expectations, a lot of returning skill players. We are smaller on the line this season but I think the guys will do a fine job. I think we have a pretty good chance at state this season. Recommended Stories
