Fifth Offer for McKernan

Fifth Offer for McKernan

The recruitment for Kent (Wash.) Kentridge prospect Cameron McKernan continues to heat up as he receives his fifth offer…

"I wanted to let you know that I received an offer from New Mexico State. It is my first WAC offer so that is cool. Coach Dunbar is really nice, I called him and he said they were offering me a scholarship. Then Head Coach Walker followed up with an offer letter that I received today."

McKernan, who already holds offers from Air Force, Eastern Washington, Portland State, and Wyoming, let us know where they see him fitting in.

"They see me at running back. I am honored and interested in learning more about the Aggies."

McKernan has had a busy summer, hitting a team camp nearly every weekend.

"I attended the Oregon State's Premier Camp on June 11th, I played mostly corner which I had not played before so it was challenging and fun. I learned a lot. Coaches there are great and I am very familiar with the Beavers. Damola Adeniji played wide receiver for them last year and his father is my Godfather, Damola is with the Raiders right now."

"I had a good time at the Washington skills camp on June 13th. Nice weather and I enjoyed the competition. I posted a 4.47 40 yard and a 35.5 vertical, so I was happy with those numbers"

"Two days ago I attended Boise State camp and really enjoyed the coaches, atmosphere, and campus. They see me at running back and said they really like me and they will be following me closely. I worked at running back exclusively at their camp."

Even with his full schedule of team camps, McKernan was able to fit in a NFTC trip. He showed very well at the camp earning all-combine honors, RISE 7 honors, and a top 150 National SPARQ rating. We'll keep track of Cameron as his recruiting progresses.
