Rated the No. 59 safety prospect in the nation and a 3-star prospect, Had 50-plus tackles and a pair of defensive touchdowns in 2008 senior prep season. Also rushed for 1,169 yards -- the third-straight season he topped the 1,000 yard mark -- despite missing two games. Had 15 touchdowns total, 11 of them rushing. A first-team, All-SPSL North choice for the second year in a row, he was also named News Tribune all-state. Also a star in basketball, he led Federal Way to the 4A championship in 2009 and a runner-up finish in 2008. Chose WSU over Boise State, Oregon State and others. Also a standout in track.
Barrington was named first team All-SPSL 4A North as a running back and second team All-SPSL 4A North as a defensive back; he rushed for 1,028 yards and 13 scores while also posting eight receptions for 188 yards and two touchdowns as a receiver in '07. |
